Biography

Baker served as a juror at an inquisition held at Devizes in June 1428 to assess the contribution due from the neighbouring hundred of Melksham for a parliamentary levy. In February of the previous year Thomas Luke of East Coulston (near Westbury) had been pardoned his outlawry for failure to appear to answer a charge of trespass brought against him by this Member.
