Biography

John witnessed a deed at Lewes in March 1421, and served as a juror there not only for the assessment of the tax on parishes in May 1428, but also at inquiries held in 1424 and 1431 about the goods of a fugitive thief. As executor of Robert Bynt* of Lewes, in 1431 he was suing one of his debtors, a woolman from Hampshire.
