Biography

Wyldebeff was fined in the borough court of Arundel in 1387 for having committed offences against local trading regulations. He leased ‘Pipistre’s’ and ‘Flemmyng’s’ tenements and a garden in ‘Tarantestrete’ in the town, for which he paid annual rents of 11d. to the earl of Arundel. In October 1415 he served on the jury which gave evidence at Arundel regarding the landed possessions of the recently deceased Earl Thomas.
