Biography

Bromley secured the county seat in 1584 through the influence of his father who had held it in the two previous Parliaments. As knight for Shropshire he was appointed to the subsidy committee on 24 Feb. 1585. On 11 Mar. he was licensed to depart from the Parliament to attend the assizes. On his father’s death he inherited lands in Hodnet, Wistanswick, Allerton and elsewhere in Shropshire. He also came into a part of his mother’s estate at Hallon, near Bridgnorth. He died in 1591.
