Biography

Bulkeley, whose praises were sung by numerous bards of Anglesey, Merioneth and Denbighshire, owed his position in county society to his family connexions with the Bulkeleys of Beaumaris. Although he is not mentioned by name in the journals he may have attended the subsidy committee appointed on 11 Feb. 1589, by virtue of his position as knight of the shire.
