Biography

Morley, who had become his father’s heir in 1683, was returned as senior Member for Arundel, seven miles east of Halnaker, at the general election of 1689. According to Anthony Rowe he voted to agree with the Lords that the throne was not vacant; but he was named to no committees in the Convention and made no speeches. Re-elected in 1690, he died in his father’s lifetime, and was buried at Box-grove on 4 Jan. 1694.3
