Biography

Bouverie succeeded his father as Member for Salisbury in 1747, classed as a government supporter. The 2nd Lord Egmont wrote in his electoral survey c. 1749-50 that he expected Bouverie might be gained as his father ‘seems to affect to act in contradiction to the ministry, to shew he thinks himself not obliged to them for his title’.

He died 28 Jan. 1776.
