Biography

Farington, whose grandfather had been three times mayor of Chichester, succeeded his father in representing the borough in 1681. His son became its recorder at George I’s accession.3 Returned as a Whig in 1715, Farington voted with the Administration in every recorded division till his death at Bath, 7 Aug. 1719.
