Biography

Returned as a Tory on the family interest at Maidstone, John Finch, a lawyer, voted consistently with the Opposition. In February and March 1732 he twice paired with his cousin, Lord Perceval, on Walpole’s proposed salt duty, which he opposed.1 He died 1 Jan. 1740.
