Biography

Heron, whose great-grandfather acquired Cressy Hall in 1600, was returned as a Tory for Boston, voting consistently against the Administration after George I’s accession. In 1721 his name was sent to the Pretender as a probable supporter in the event of a rising.1 Returned for the county in 1722, he did not stand again. He died 10 Sept. 1730, aged 55.
