Biography
Richard Gorges came of a Herefordshire gentry family. His father had contested Leominster in 1747; he himself was returned without a poll in 1754, after a threatened opposition was withdrawn. In Dupplin’s list he was classed as a Tory. No vote or speech by him is recorded. He did not stand in 1761.
He died in 1780.
